Seattle Rooftop Styled Shoot

Tapestry Event Co. set out to re-imagine the traditional feminine and soft decor of intimate weddings and bringing the rebel with Seattle edge to the table.

AUTHENTIC. UNAPOLOGETIC. VALUES-BASED.

With this couple-centered shoot we wanted to show how to embrace your edge on your wedding day. We combined the free spirit of an adventurous elopement with the modern look of a city wedding with the striking imagery of portrait photography and the values of sustainable living. This couple is raw, strong, and independent and wants their wedding day to reflect their unapologetic personalities and values. They stand for living in harmony with the planet, and to reflect those values, we are pursuing vendors and offerings that emphasize recycled or secondhand products, cruelty-free practices, and sustainable services. This project will embrace the couple as the centerpiece and present creative ideas to inspire all couples writing their own version of a marriage celebration. OUR FAVE SEATTLE COUPLE.

Alma and Spencer were our SUPER cute and creative couple who have been modeling together over the last few months. Both photographers, they love being able to collaborate with the creatives photographing them because they already have an intuition for what feels and looks good on camera.

This shoot spoke to them as both a fun day and personal expression of who they are as a couple. They loved that we used vegan baked goods, styled them in second-hand items, and highlighted sustainable practices throughout the shoot. Their favorite details from the day include the plants used by Sublime Stems as decor (a fun and sustainable way to bring more greenery into an indoor space.

For couples who are nervous about getting their photos taken, they recommend grounding down into your connection with your partner. Be intimate in the way you interact and focus on your love for one another. The photos will be beautiful because they will be full of emotion.
