A Personalized PNW Destination Weekend: Intimacy, Creativity, and Authenticity at Loloma Lodge

Talia and Chaise, a dynamic duo deeply connected by their love for the outdoors, fine cuisine, and meaningful experiences, sought to create a celebration that resonated with their chill vibe and intrinsic values. They partnered with us at Tapestry to help them make their dreams a reality.

OUR TAPESTRY COUPLE.

Talia and Chaise's story is woven with threads of adventure and nature. Their shared love for outdoor activities—hiking, running, biking—defined the canvas of their relationship. Their desire for a Pacific Northwest destination wedding emerged from their connection with the landscape and the allure of an intimate celebration amidst nature with their people (of course!).

Their personalities, distinct yet harmonious, reflected in their penchant for exquisite food and artistic indulgences. Talia, a designer with an eye for detail, and Chaise, a biking enthusiast and food connoisseur, sought to infuse their wedding experience with elements that echoed their refined tastes and genuine passions.

Talia and Chaise turned to us at Tapestry for guidance in navigating the complexities of wedding planning. Yearning to break away from conventional norms, they sought to replace traditional wedding elements with personalized touches that mirrored who they are as individuals and a couple. I daresay this is one of our expertises!

CRAFTING AN EXPERIENCE WITH SOUL.

The couple's aspirations for their wedding day were rooted in authenticity, beauty, and comfort. With our expertise, they aimed for a celebration that felt less like a formal affair and more like an intimate gathering of cherished friends—a joyful, artistic, and meaningful experience.

The planning journey with Tapestry unveiled a delightful synergy. Talia and Chaise's unwavering commitment to their values and purpose shone through, guiding decisions that remained aligned with their investment priorities and upheld their dedication to support local businesses and their community.

Every planning session with Talia and Chaise was a joy. Their firm grasp on their hobbies, work-life balance, and style infused our meetings with a purposeful energy. Their blend of sincerity and wit mirrored my own, making the planning experience both productive and enjoyable. They also have a similar mix of sincerity and snark like myself, so it was a lot of fun to let those aspects of our personalities dance throughout the planning experience.

They efficiently managed the budget by engaging with Tapestry's onboarding exercises, aligning with their values. Their commitment to prioritizing outdoor space, relaxed social experiences, and supporting local businesses guided their decisions—opting for an intimate event size to leverage existing structures, sourcing talents from friends, and channeling impactful elements like flowers at the ceremony and selective rentals at the reception. Talia's artistic eye shone through as she personally crafted all the event signage and paper products.

A DAY TO REMEMBER.

As the day unfolded at Loloma Lodge, the atmosphere resonated with warmth and genuine connection. The beauty of the setting blended seamlessly with the relaxed nature of the event, fostering an environment where every guest felt at ease.

Everyone had such a great time in this intimate social environment. The setting was beautiful (and the weather was perfect!). The relaxed nature of the event made everyone comfortable. There was so much socializing! Never have we seen a gabbier group of 40 people, but in a good way. Nothing was rushed, the ceremony was sweet, the food was delicious, the toasts endearing, and the wind down vvvvvvvvvv chill.

A big highlight of the event was the care Talia and the Tapestry team put into creating activity stations that reflected the couple’s interests. We had a temporary tattoo station, with small tattoos designed by a friend that reflected the couple’s interests (including chicken nuggets).

We had an After The Tone station (always a hit). And we had a tapestry weaving station where we set up a tabletop loom, curated a palette of materials matching our event design, and started the weave. We collaborated with Talia on instructions guests could follow to contribute. Then Tapestry took it home, completed it, and sent it off to the couple!

A partial planning relationship was excellent for this couple who was super clear on their values and purpose, who leveraged our expertise to stay focused and efficient, who was great at doing their homework and sourcing contributions from their community, and who collaborated with us to unlock some truly creative and authentic ideas.
