Tapestry's Favorite Elopement + Adventure Wedding Accessories Pt. 2

Tapestry Event Co. cherishes each of its beautiful moments we have been able to create in the outdoors. Whether for fun or for work, we are at our best out climbing those mountains, soaking up the rays in the desert, or strolling by the water’s edge. This means we have accrued quite a bit of knowledge about what you need and don’t need, what you will regret not bringing, and what could be handy in an emergency. Mother nature is a beautiful but unpredictable lady; we always need to be prepared!

Below you will find lists of our recommended clothing and storage for adventure elopements. These will keep you warm, let you stay cool, or protect you from harsh elements. At the bottom, you will also find our recommended favorite ceremony items that you can’t forget. That is, after all, why we are going on this adventure with you!*

OUR RECOMMENDED BACKPACKS.

CamelBack Women’s Helena 20 Hydration Pack, 85 oz.

This backpack is perfect for dayhikes with enough space for personal belongings and the water bladder. We recommend it for a less than eight mile day. This backpack is designed for people who don’t have broad shoulders and fits petite figures perfectly.

Outdoor Research Dry Payload Pack

In the PNW, keeping dry is a must. This dry daypack keeps all your belongings cozy and drip-free in the mountains, seaside, or anywhere that’s wet and damp.

Gregory Backpacks for Men or Women

These are our favorite overnight packs. They have tons of pockets and straps for organizing overnight gear and keeping your items tightly where you’d like them. Suitable for most all terrains, the backpack comes in all different sizes and designs depending on what you are looking for. In our experience, a 45+ for each person is perfect for overnight as a couple.

OUR RECOMMENDED CLOTHING LAYERS.

Patagonia Puffy Vests + Jackets

This brand has performance-wear that packs down small, keeps you warm, and still looks good. Puffy vests are perfect as an under layer in the freezing cold or rain or an over layer in the temperate but chilly days. There are so many choices in length, heaviness, and utility that you can find exactly the type of jacket you are looking for.

Patagonia Fleece Sweater

Another one of our favorite staples from Patagonia, fleece sweaters are a classic for staying warm (even when wet) when you’re camping. They don’t call it Patagucci in the PNW for nothing.

REI Co-Op Midweight Base Layer Tights

Also available for men, these fantastic pieces of long underwear are great under hiking pants or a wedding dress. They are lightweight, warm, and worn by us in all the temperatures and climates. Keep in mind that every 1,000 feet of elevation gain means a three to five degrees fahrenheit temperature drop. So prepare accordingly and stay warm and happy!

Darn Tough Wool Socks

Perfect for flat or low-angle terrain in the snow or high-angle rock action, these can come in real handy when the ice sets in on the mountains and valleys.

Carhartt Beanie

Another tried-and-true brand, Carhartt beanies get the job done at a reasonable price point.

Pendleton Wool Blanket

The great styles, warm and cozy, will last a lifetime. This investment will definitely be worth it for every adventure hereafter together. They also look good in photos.

Hot Hands

They keep your hands warm like personal mini lava cakes, need we say more? Make sure to get them cooking 30 minutes before the cold settles in.

OUR RECOMMENDED BOOTS.

Women's Newton Ridge Plus Waterproof Amped Hiking Boot

This is the best day hiking boot to cover most of your bases due to its durability, waterproof veneer, and rubber outsole for good traction.

Mens’ Timberland Earthkeepers Mt. Maddsen Mid Hiking Boots

You don't have to leave your Timbs at home for a day hike. We like this option for its waterproof leather and features built specifically to keep nature out of your boots and on the trail where it belongs.

Danner Women’s Mountain Light

This is a stylish women's boot we recommend for running through fields or days without serious elevation gain. Easy, good traction, and so cute.

Danner North Fork Rambler

This Danner style is a stylish men's boot we recommend for casual strolls, rather than serious hikes.

Marriage License

We may as well make it legal while we’re at it ;).

These babies never leave the back of our car, even in the summertime, make sure that your pictures look beautiful and that your happy faces can be seen even in soggy weather.
