More than just planning partners—
WE ARE UNWAVERING ADVOCATES FOR YOUR VISION.
Meet the Team
Tapestry Event Company fosters a culture of wedding planning that harnesses modern tools and thoughtful approaches to event hosting. We challenge tradition when it doesn’t serve you and question the status quo, favoring decisions that are personable and memorable. At our core, we boldly champion feminism, visibility, inclusion, and impact to help set relationships up for success far beyond the marriage day. Generic advice and trendy timelines aren’t our thing—we’re here to help you set your unique legacy in motion, not make you feel like a pawn in a portfolio piece.
Kate Faoro Wright, our Founder and Creative Director, leads our amazing team of planners, coordinators, creatives, and administrative specialists. Our family of seasoned experts generously shares their talents with our clients and partners, many of whom have worked with us for over three years. Here are a few of the folks you may meet along the way. . .
KATE FAORO-WRIGHT
I’m the Creative Director and Lead Planner at Tapestry Event Co.—and I couldn’t be more honored that you’ve found your way here.
I believe that weddings, elopements, and ceremonies are more than events—they’re living chapters of your life story. They’re spaces to practice communication, share vision, honor values, and invest in each other’s dreams. My role is to guide you through this process with clarity and care: creating planning milestones that feel steady, crafting a celebration where you and your love are truly seen, and shaping an experience that will stay with you long after the last toast.
I initially discovered my passion for heartfelt, mindful weddings while planning my own, inspired by female-run businesses that led with compassion and service. I realized I could make the biggest impact on an experience by harnessing my strengths toward planning, a role that affects the entire ecosystem of the celebration—and knew that was right where I wanted to be.
Now, I’m lucky enough to base my work in the Pacific Northwest, where the tall trees and wide landscapes ground me and remind me of what matters most. When I’m not in the forest with my husband, Nick, I’m likely knitting or sewing, on my yoga mat, curled up with my cats Winks and Meo, or lost in a good story (ask me about The Kingkiller Chronicles over coffee sometime). However it takes shape, every aspect of my life is rooted in connection and the act of creating.
My favorite reminder? “No one is you, and that is your power.” I carry that truth into every project I’m a part of. With equal parts logistical precision, curiosity, and heart, I’ll help you create a celebration that feels both effortless and deeply authentic.
And yes, my laugh has been compared to Christian Bale’s. I can’t wait to hear yours.
Love,
FOUNDER AND CREATIVE DIRECTOR
Our Values
Our modern approach blends strategy and heart to facilitate equitable participation, connection, and values-based decision-making at every step of the wedding planning process.
-
Sincerity is at the heart of our work; we leave pretense at the door and bring our most genuine selves to every interaction. We offer direct yet compassionate guidance—never sugarcoating, but always listening and leading with empathy.
-
We aim to guide, not dictate—offering expert perspectives that you can take or leave. We engage with differing views respectfully and authentically, and consider all options to feel out the best decision for you. Through coaching on joint decision-making, event creation, and family culture, you’ll enter marriage with shared values that extend beyond your event planning experience.
-
We are the Ted Lasso behind our couples: humble, humorous, yet bold and unafraid to let our work speak for itself. We give credit to the couple for their vision, credit to the vendors for their artistry, and credit to the team that brings it all to life. We de-center ourselves in every room, trusting that our best work is produced when we facilitate connection, alignment, understanding, and creative fulfillment.
-
We don’t know it all, and we don’t pretend to. We are here to engage, learn, and connect with you, exploring our assumptions and challenging norms. Fascinated by the diversity of the world and the people who inhabit it, we regularly self-educate to become more conscious stewards of our impact.
-
The nature of our job is to create informed plans, knowing the best results occur when we are able to adapt to the moment. We set clear expectations, arrive prepared, stay present, and modify our approach as needed. We trust our expertise to help us make appropriate adjustments in any situation with transparency and resourcefulness.
On Diversity + Belonging
Soulful gatherings for all
Tapestry Event Co. welcomes, supports, and CELEBRATES all forms of love. We cater to all abilities in our event management, embracing couples from all cultures, religions, and backgrounds. We work with all ages, across blended families, and find great joy in producing multicultural celebrations. As a diverse team of womxn, queer folks, and people of color, we see ourselves as guests in your worlds—honored when you invite us in.
Further, we are committed to making both internal and external changes and transformations to promote diversity and belonging within the wedding industry. Through our platform, we have the ability and responsibility to amplify BIPOC voices and help support the sharing of stories that have too often gone unheard. Our ongoing commitment to our couples of color includes internal antiracist work, study, and intentional partnerships that center vendors and couples from diverse backgrounds.
Community
Connection at our core
Tapestry Event Company was built on and is powered by our community. We pride ourselves on building confident, cohesive teams that fit like a glove on your special day. It’s no surprise that vendor referrals are our top source of client recommendations each year, as we spend just as much time getting to know our clients as we do the vendors who help carry their experience. Connecting through coffee dates, industry events, and creative collaborations helps us to better understand their style and ethos and make holistic, informed recommendations.
Environmentalism
Nourishment for people and land
As wedding and elopement planners who frequently intersect with the great outdoors, we are passionate about showing respect to Mother Nature and adhering to Leave No Trace principles. Education is at the heart of our philosophy, and we ensure that our couples and their guests learn to be responsible stewards during their time with us.
We are committed to reducing waste and creating eco-friendly designs in all of our celebrations. We encourage purchases from small makers in the couple’s local communities, or that the couple wants to keep as a part of their home once the day is done. We educate couples about local rental inventories, hiring from local markets to reduce their carbon footprint, and strategically reducing waste through accurate ordering practices. Our team continues to raise the bar by learning how we can take care of our planet more responsibly as a small business.

Over a decade of working in hospitality and events has led me to the wonderful world of Tapestry where I moonlight as an Assistant Coordinator and Administrative Lead. Outside of the Tapestry hustle, I spend my time traveling, crafting, and snuggling my new kitten.
Hi, my name is Kerri !
A perfect day for me involved a super cozy blanket, fuzzy slippers, a large cup of coffee, a puzzle on my table and dreaming about my next big adventure....with Harry Potter on in the background.
I am passionate about helping others accomplish their goals and making sure we are all having a good time. My past work within hospitality and events has helped me hone in on my love of events and being that right hand for people during stressful times. Tell me your ideas, visions, and dreams and I want to help in any capacity I can to get you there. I love the giant puzzle that events tend to be. Fitting all the different pieces together to create a unique experience and watching someone’s vision turn into reality fills me with so much joy.
At Tapestry, I will be collaborating with the team as the Administrative Lead. I'll be putting together and implementing our gifting program for clients and community. I will also support Tapestry as an Assistant Coordinator, helping ensure events flow seamlessly.
Working with Tapestry in these two capacities satisfy two different sides of who I am and what I enjoy doing. I love a detailed spreadsheet and organizing information and then I love the social, exciting part of being there on the day of. I get to flex both muscles with this amazing team. I'm excited to support efforts to up-level the overall Tapestry client experience and team growth and I can't wait to watch your dream wedding come into reality!

Tapestry Assistant Coordinator & Digital Designer, B.A. + career experience in Corporate Sustainability, interior designer by day, lover of all animals, and an enthusiastic (but untrained) birder.
Hi there, I’m Tessarae! I’m so excited to celebrate with you.
I’ve lived most of my life in the PNW and feel so much love for this corner of the world. When the sun shines, I try to spend as much time as possible soaking it up — whether that’s a long nature walk, a paddle board sesh, or a pretty drive with the windows down. When cozied up inside, I love to read books, watch movies, organize anything and everything, and scheme up the next big adventure with my partner and our two cats.
My professional journey reflects my many passions in life as a sustainability analyst turned interior designer and event coordinator. At Tapestry, I’m able to blend all of these passions together as our shared ethos revolves around crafting authentic wedding celebrations that are both beautiful and considerate of the planet. As an Assistant Coordinator, I support you on your wedding day by helping ensure each moment flows smoothly so you can sit back and enjoy! Behind the scenes, I design content and resources that help couples thoughtfully plan their wedding and elopement celebrations.
I’m so happy that I get to spend my days celebrating love with our wonderful couples and the amazing team here at Tapestry. Can’t wait to meet you!

Love notes
In moments of uncertainty, Kate stands out as a beacon of confidence and stability.
“Tapestry’s attention to detail is unmatched, their energy is contagious, and their mission and values truly align not only with the couples they serve but also with the future direction of the wedding industry. Kate is loyal, dependable, honest, and most importantly, an unwavering advocate for her clients on their special day.”
Stephanie, Islandwood
Kate and her team create soul connections with every client and every member of the vendor team.
“I have had the honor of working with Kate on a number of weddings and not only were they brilliantly planned and coordinated but there is a feeling of genuine community with everyone involved and a common denominator of being called to serve from the heart… Those that have chosen Kate and Tapestry as their planner always arrive at their ceremony space with the biggest smiles, relaxed and so deeply assured that every single detail is being taken care of and they are held in the most caring, reliable hands possible.”
Officiant Grace
Kate and the Tapestry team were the planners of our dreams!
“We chose to work with Tapestry because we loved their philosophy and approach to weddings and felt that they could help us design a celebration that felt really special, personal, and perfectly true to us.
Simply put, we were blown away. Kate helped us hone in on our vision for our wedding, kept us organized and on track throughout planning, introduced us to the greatest vendors team ever, empowered us to prioritize what mattered, and gave us honest and balanced advice when we needed it. While my husband and I navigated a big move away from Washington state a few months before the wedding, Kate made sure that nothing fell through the cracks as we were dealing with Life.
From the moment our rehearsal started, we knew we were in the best hands with Kate & Dante as our event coordinators. On the wedding day, everything unfolded like magic. I know there was so much going on behind the scenes, but the Tapestry team managed everything so skillfully that we were able to stay present and just live in our wedding day bliss.
We are endlessly grateful to Kate and Tapestry for supporting us so thoroughly and warmly during our wedding and planning. We would give her 500 stars if we could!!”
