The Wedding Power Hour

Drowning under the crushing weight of wedding planning shouldn’t be the norm...

You and your wedding day deserve a hell of a lot better.

say more

Wedding planning should never take over your life.

HERE’S THE THING:

And truthfully. . .

In an age where a quick Google search can answer every question, there comes a point where it all begins to feel like too much.

Where looking up one simple question leads to asking ten more.

Where one innocent swipe through a Reddit thread leaves you even more confused than you arrived.

Where you search for what you thought was a simple answer, only to be bombarded with hundreds of conflicting perspectives.

Sifting through all the noise can feel impossible, and can put a jarring stop to your wedding planning before it’s even begun.

(yep, we said it)

It should be a chance for you to slow down.

To bask in your newly-engaged bliss.

To dream up a day filled with love, care, and celebration—

Not a chance for you to add yet another arduous task to the dreaded to-do list.

When you don’t have the ability to invest in a wedding planner, to find a support system you can lean on. . .

It’s easy to let that breaking point deter you from planning the day you so excitedly envisioned when you got engaged.

So trust us when we say we understand exactly what this feels like—and that we’ve been cozied up in your same shoes.

The frustration that there is so much wedding planning advice available online, yet you can’t seem to figure out what applies to you.

The anxiety that fills your chest every time you have to make an important decision, not wanting to make the wrong move, and set your wedding up for failure.

The embarrassment that seeps in because you oh-so-confidently took on the role of DIYing your day, but now feel completely, utterly lost along the way.

The shame that you feel every time you try to ask for help, or dare to admit that you can’t do it all alone.

And the fear that bubbles up inside at the thought of paying such a high cost for a planning solution that might not even be in line with your values.

It’s tough sh*t.

The idea of paying thousands of dollars for professional support, and committing to a long-term relationship that will play a significant role in the success of your best day ever. . . when that’s really not in the budget?

It’s just not an option, and that’s okay—because you’re confident you can do it on your own. . .

You just need a little support along the way.

What if asking for help didn’t have to feel so difficult?

Hear us out:

What if you could reduce the risk, remove the obligation, and bring the dollar amount wayyy down. . .

And still get access to the expertise, experience, and personalized support that comes with hiring a professional wedding planning team?

In other words:

What if you could rent a planner’s brain for an hour—no contract or commitment required?

Grab your bucket of popcorn and uncover those eyes, because that sounds like a hell of a lot more fun to us. . .

. . . and it probably won’t have you lying awake in bed at night.

Spending nearly 10 years in the wedding industry means we’ve seen it all—and that we’ve watched couples run into the same roadblocks time and time again.

Most commonly, we witness couples go from overjoyed to be engaged and start planning the day of their dreams. . . to overwhelmed, scattered, and anxious as soon as reality kicks in.

-Budget constraints.
-Time constraints.
-Over-eager (but well-intentioned) family members.
-External opinions.
-Societal pressures.

So we say this with love:

None of this is meant to be handled on your own.

And can we tell you a truth that may be somewhat of a hot take in the wedding industry? (though it really shouldn’t be. . . ) Your budget does not determine how worthy you are of quality support.

Weddings can be effortlessly planned and beautifully executed at any price point, regardless of how much you have or want to spend on outside support.
And whether or not you fit neatly into a standard “planning package” shouldn’t determine your access, either:

You deserve a flexible, modern, and holistic approach that meets you exactly where you’re at.

That’s where we come in with our inclusive wedding planning services & adaptable support systems, built to fit your unique needs and goals.

Meet the faces behind the screen

Hi, I’m Kate—founder and creative director of Tapestry Event Co., who is beyond lucky to work with such an amazing team of planners, coordinators, and creatives to serve couples like you!

With decades of combined event experience between us, we share a deep love for the beauty of the Pacific Northwest that we call home, and have an abundance of local knowledge to pass along to you.

We also know that the expertise and value-based approach we take to wedding planning is one-of-a-kind, and helps us keep the wellbeing of our couples at the forefront of everything we do.

Together, we have supported nearly 400 couples in planning their wedding or elopement since 2017. . .

And have helped even more couples plan unforgettable ceremonies, write personalized vows, design fabulous receptions, and coordinate once-in-a-lifetime events through our online products and resources.

Except here’s the one issue we’ve run into time and time again:

There is no middle ground when it comes to wedding planning solutions.

And we really believe there should be!

You’ve probably seen it already during your search for vendors: packages that include full planning, partial planning, or day-of-coordination—but nothing in-between.

No à la Carte options, no specialized support for lower budgets. . . it’s usually all or nothing, which leaves many couples lacking guidance, expertise, and clear direction.

If that feels a lot like what you’re experiencing, then you need our

WEDDING PLANNING POWER HOUR

SERIOUSLY—DON’T MISS OUT

Kate was so genuine, responsive, and incredibly helpful.

My fiancé and I got engaged and couldn’t quite figure out what we wanted. At one point, we reached out to Tapestry and Kate was so genuine, responsive, and incredibly helpful. It was evident that her goal was to guide couples to do whatever makes them the happiest and to make the process of finding [that] out intentional and meaningful.”

Here’s what else you need to know:

  • It depends on where you are in the planning process!

IN THE PRE-PLANNING STAGES: We can review your vision and your values; we can outline your approach to your guest list and venue tours; and we can establish a set of budget expectations to get you off to the races!

IN THE MID-PLANNING STAGES: We can check in on your project management deliverables; we can create a checklist for the next 3 months of tasks; and we can create or review your timeline to ensure it’s a workable and well-considered outline of your day.

IN THE FINAL STAGES: We can gut-check any planning decisions you have made thus far; we can review your timeline, budget, to-do list, ceremony, or any other cornerstone piece of your celebration; and we can ensure you have all the day-of details decided for a stress-free celebration.

  • Fabulous! We can advise on the best course of action.

If you want us to take the lead on your first planning session, we will…

—Teach you how to combine your values and priorities with your wedding planning strategy to create an aligned experience.

—Outline your estimated wedding budget, set price point expectations, and advise on the most beneficial areas to invest in your vision.

—Discuss the intersection of your guest list and your venue, including how to communicate about your event (without getting overwhelmed) as well as creating a memorable guest experience.

—Give you a roadmap for the next three months of planning so that you can make professional-level decisions as you move forward with planning your wedding.

  • No problem at all. I talk to couples who have an upcoming date, but also couples who have no date on the calendar and need some help with their initial direction and boundaries!

  • I live in Washington and plan weddings and elopements up and down the West Coast. That said, my event planning experience and skills benefit anyone planning a marriage celebration, anywhere.

  • If we feel a mutual fit, we can certainly discuss the possibility of working together after the call. But there is no attachment to an ongoing working relationship for the purposes of this call. I show up with the sole aim of being as helpful to you and your current curiosities and challenges for one hour.

And if you already have vendors or a coordinator hired, that’s great! I can teach you how to be an incredible client to them in your planning journey and show up in the final months as the best partner you can be.
